"A standard YoRHa combat android. This model uses swords to engage machine lifeforms at close range, and a support system called a Pod for long-range strikes.

While YoRHa are forbidden from having emotions, each model has its own personality, and 2B isrelatively cool and collected when compared to other B-type models."

Virtous Contract - Weapon Story:

"The sky abandons me. As the sun bears down mercilessly on my blood-soaked body, I yearn for an endless deluge of rain.

The birds mock me. Yet my legs still carry me across this vast land, even though I have no particular destination in mind.

The flowers laugh at me. I carry out my orders without pause for thought, for I possess no need, no right, no choice, and no capacity to feel shame.

You call for me. If you will permit it, please let me pray for your happiness. For these are my final memories."

"An all-purpose combat android belonging to YoRHa. She is adept at all forms of close-quarters combat, and can also attack from range with the Pod support system.

Her equipped skirt is occasionally damaged, revealing the white leotard she wears underneath. This also occurs when she activates her self-destruct mode--a sacrifice she sometimes makes in order to ensure the success of her mission."

Type-3 Sword - Weapon Story:

"The researchers give me and my brother weapons and tell us to fight, promising freedom to the victor. I thought we were almost free, but now this. What am I going to do?

I glance at the rustic blade in my little brother's trembling hand. The researchers say it's great at dealing pain, which doesn't suit his kind heart. And since I want him to be happy, I make a choice

I make an awful face so it's easier to attack me and leap at him with a roar. As I hope, he holds up his blade in fear. Good! Use the blade to cut down your big brother! Find your freedom!

I begin to scream. I begin to writhe. In the corner of my eye, I see my little brother lift the blade again, sobbing. Yes..Please. Do it quickly. Set your brother free..."

"I was assigned to kill machine lifeforms, so I do.

It is my fate to be perpetually trapped in a never-ending spiral of life and death.

...But what do I fight for now? I should be free, but I feel like I've forgotten something--some vital goal."

YoRHa-issue Blade - Weapon Story:

"I have successfully intercepted enemy communications. I hear androids listen to this "radio" all the time, so I hope it gives us machine lifeforms information to help win the war.

This "radio personality" is giving no battle orders, merely cheerful words of encouragement and appreciation. I am learning little of interest, but will continue listening all the same.

There is a large-scale battle, and the "radio personality"has stopped receiving listener messages. The personality is anxious about having no listeners. Don't worry. You do have a listener. You have me.

An android dressed in black attacked. It tore us to shreds while mumbling something, then laughed as it plunged a sword into me. It was the same laugh I'd heard so many times on the radio.
